SMS Terms of Service

1. SMS Service Description

SeatSense provides SMS notification services to help restaurants communicate with guests about wait times, table availability, and reservation updates. These services are powered by Twilio and use your restaurant's Twilio account for message delivery.

2. Message Types

We may send the following types of SMS messages:

  • Wait time updates and ETA notifications
  • Table ready notifications
  • Reservation confirmations and reminders
  • Service updates and important announcements
  • Account-related notifications

3. Consent and Opt-In

By providing your phone number and using our SMS services, you consent to receive text messages from SeatSense. You understand that:

  • Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan
  • You are not required to consent to SMS as a condition of using our service
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP
  • You can get help by replying HELP

4. Message Frequency

SMS message frequency varies based on your restaurant's operations and guest interactions. Typical message frequency includes:

  • Initial wait time estimates when guests join the waitlist
  • Updates when wait times change significantly
  • Table ready notifications
  • Reservation reminders (typically 1-2 messages per reservation)

5. Opt-Out Instructions

You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any message
  • Contacting your restaurant directly
  • Updating your preferences in your SeatSense account
  • Contacting us at support@seatsense.com

After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent.

For help with SMS services, you can:

  • Reply HELP to any message
  • Contact your restaurant's host stand
  • Email us at support@seatsense.com

7. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. SeatSense does not charge additional fees for SMS messages, but your mobile carrier may apply standard rates for text messages received.

8. Technical Requirements

To receive SMS messages, you need:

  • A mobile device capable of receiving text messages
  • An active mobile phone number
  • A mobile carrier that supports SMS
  • Sufficient storage space for messages

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your phone number and message content are protected according to our Privacy Policy. We do not share your phone number with third parties except as necessary to provide SMS services through Twilio.

10. Service Availability

SMS services are subject to:

  • Your mobile carrier's network availability
  • Twilio's service availability
  • Your device's capability to receive messages
  • Your account status with SeatSense

11. Changes to SMS Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on our website and updating the "Last updated" date.
